It is exactly this situation which I am looking to stop from occurring. It reaches this point because no one has portrayed the app as meaningful on an Enterprise level which in turn would have provided funding to update and modernize or extend it further.Keith Brookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09961540676945196038noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8994561579739999989.post-80848144509062814322019-03-04T11:18:48.027+02:002019-03-04T11:18:48.027+02:00I'm not taking issue with you, but it's a ...I'm not taking issue with you, but it's a hard sell to push the line that "There is a reason Fortune 100 companies still run Domino applications inside their world, because they are critical to their businesses." I am encountering the situation where Domino applications are simply allowed to to die a slow death because of the willingness to 'shelf' the data as historical, and simply start all over again. This is happening for companies large and small, across the whole range of business types, including some very hi-tech ones that should know better. Alas, the old days when "no boss ever gets fired for chosing IBM" are long, long gone!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10914102993682931438noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8994561579739999989.post-60956911355979354852019-02-27T17:33:08.681+02:002019-02-27T17:33:08.681+02:00Thanks Ben. I don't need to convince anyone at my company about Notes, obviously, but I am trying to find ways to communicate (and enhance) the business value of Notes/Domino to the greater community because my job also depends on it. (Also, because it is cool and powerful, but let's leave that aside.)Ben Langhinrichshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16077213274836551992noreply@blogger.com
