In the Christian faith, we use the story of Esther to encourage young women in particular to stand up for what is right (although many other great sermons can be derived from this rich book - particularly the peril of trying to work against God's chosen people). <br /><br />Thank you too for mentioning the tragedy that took place this past weekend. Though incomparable in scale to the events in Japan, it by far overwhelms with the sheer malice of it.
